Midland Studio Open Day Sunday 25 August

There is a buzz of stress and excitement as all of the artists at the Midland studios, including myself are getting everything tidied up, displaying their work around the wall space and putting those last minute touches on our creations for our Open Studio day on Sunday. I am almost ready. Just have to vacuum the floor and hang a couple more paintings. 

At the same time I am packing up stuff ready for the removal truck arriving on 30 August. Then the really big clean up, scrubbing the paint of the studio floor and walls.

It can be a little daunting having your private studio space opened up to the public but at the same time it is a wonderful opportunity to talk to people about what you do and how you do it. It is an added bonus if people like your work and want to buy it!
