Have just taken 2 lazy weeks off while my Dad visited us in Perth, all the way from Adelaide.
He is doing really well for an 80 yr old. I struggle in my fifties to cope with long distant travel and change of routine!
We went to the circus...first time for Dad, visited Kings Park botanic gardens, went on a river cruise to Fremantle, drove up to Araluen gardens to see the magnificent tulips in bloom, ate fish and chips and ice-cream at Scarborough beach and Dad helped me out in my studio with the final preparations for a couple of exhibitions. He also encouraged me to pick up my baritone Ukelele again before it gathered cobwebs in the corner of my studio!
I'm typing this up on my phone and I have downloaded all my photos to my computer, so I'll add some pics next post.I
Now, I need to get back to work!
I have a few more delivery dates for competitions and exhibitions coming up and an open day at my Midland studio on 22nd Sept, off to Nunyara retreat center in Adelaide for our national InterPlay Leaders Gathering in Oct.
Dropped dad off at the airport yesterday and I must not forget to pick our son, up tonight as he flys into Perth at 9pm for an overnight stay. He is a flight attendant . Better change the sheets on dads bed too! Hubby is off to Canada next week. I'd love to go too but but it is too many thousands of dollars!
I started my day today with a walk and an ice-cream for breakfast. How decadent is that? Gotta get back to work but maybe just a quick few chords on my little guitar first!
