Family

This is me holding up my sister who was born in Cyprus. I was born in Australia but we were still in UK at this time. I think I am about 13 yrs old here.

I am itching to get back into my art studio in Perth as I've had quite a break now. It has been great doing InterPlay and catching up with old friends and family. 


Our daughter is interstate with her husband and 3 kiddies so I have missed them this time round. Poor Jade, it is no small thing to get on and off planes with 3 children, all under five years old. Apparently they have not settled into the hired camper van either and no one is getting any sleep! I think she is looking forward to getting home from this holiday (hell-a-day!)


With winter kicking in and Melbourne turning more chilly than usual, our son is missing the warmth of family. We'll have to make an extra effort to spend more time together I think.

It is so hard when friends and family are spread out all over the globe and we forget to simply say to each other I love you and I care. 

It is always a juggling act between our commitments, work, time and limited funds, to actually spend some face to face time together. I have heard that this is something we are missing out on in our society. Texting and Facebook are not face to face, even though we are fooled into thinking they are.
